Zinc League 2007
2007 is coming to an end soon, to end off, Zinc had planned for a DotA league for all Zinc players.
What is ZincPlay?
ZincPlay aims to bring to you entertainment that pays, literally. We are a community-based project out to bring rewarding pleasure for the gaming community.
What is Zion?
Zion allows you to play games such as Warcraft III, Dota & Tanks, over an emulated LAN with others!
Why join Zinc League?
If you’re an experienced DotA player, why not join Zinc League? We are only allowing 8 teams to participate in League I. Since the number of participating team is small, your team stand a chance to win win win!

Winning team will win USD50. Oh, now you are definitely interested!
Remember, its USD 50 and not SGD 50. So multiply by 1.6 and you get the amount in Singapore Dollars. :)

The competition will be held through the internet, of course you guys will be seated comfortably at home while playing matches with other team members. Alternatively, you guys can meet at a gaming place!
The software to connect the players together is of course, Zion. Each team member needs to have Zion installed in their system. So if you’re playing in a LAN shop, please make sure there is Zion software installed :)
There will be a total of 8 teams, with 5 members in each team. If you want, you can bring in a reserve in case someone tio Zionities.
Not forgetting, there will be observers as well. Make sure you guys come online during the League because we will be broadcasting all matches online.
Rewards?
As i’ve mentioned earlier, it will be a USD50 for the winning team. Champion team will also get a tag in #Zinc for the season. Popularity will be increased for winners, to +50.
What if you lose? Well, we have participation awards as well.
Lastly, the application will close on 28th November 2007. (my birthday!) I mean.. You can register earlier than that, and come for my birthday party on 28th rite..

Eh, SGD15 is not that much, because if you win, you got more than 4 times to amount!

But how can it be.. You guys are not so mean hiding in some chim chim areas until i (living in this place for more than 16 yrs) can’t even find, right?
Oh talking about 16 yrs, i’m going 17 in a few days time. And guess what? I received a msg from Adr today, asking whether my birthday is on 28th November.

Shoe GONE
Okay usually i will put my shoes outside, because i’m too lazy to take it into my house. Nothing happened to my shoes before, my shoes didn’t get missing before. UNTIL, today, my nike shoe was gone.
OH GONE!
Who stole it? I don’t know. I guess it must be one of the foreign workers who are doing the lift upgrading stuff.

Squash Squash Squash
Long time no blog, thought i mati right? Mehehehe. =x
(I’m cursing myself? No way!)
Okay we’ve a special Squash training today. Not sure why. But we also elected new captain, vice captain, treasurer and so on..
They said 10am must reach Squash court, and it is COMPULSARY. But i dont see alot went for Squash! Thats funny.
Then, someone lost the Squash court key, and we got no key, we’ve no courts. So teacher incharge was like, “pushing” it on one another, like, “omfg who the hell took the key, quickly call this person, call that person, see he got take anot”.
Then it took about 30 minutes or so, to get another key to open up the Squash courts. Oh so i wasted 30 minutes just like that. Next time, they should inform us, 11am Squash training, instead of 10am.
Okay, waited so long nevermind. Coach came, and saw 2 of us without Squash shoes. Oh shit. No squash shoes, no training. Take out your shoes and go in = training.
Oh i mean why must i invest so much on Squash when i knew i cannot get into the school team? (school team is made up of 5 players out of so many of us here). So well, dont need buy Squash shoes one la. Somemore i see cheap squash shoes like can slide on the courts one. Lidat where got good, might as well wear my own track shoes. -_-”
Then we were begging the coach. “Ok last chance la. My mother washing my shoes, i’ll wear on the next training. I promise! Oh please! Oh i confirm guarantee plus chop!”
Ok please. I don’t even have a pair of court shoes. And i’m not intending to buy ANY of them.
Squash Re-Electing New Committee Members
Okay i dont know why they want to “re elect” the committe members, but i guess it’s for next year? Since we have only 1 or 2 more training left before our “honey moon”.
So we chose some committee members and handed in that form. Of cos i’m not so stupid to write my own name down. (even thou its a good idea to get yourself into the committee!)
I’M NOT INTERESTED IN SQUASH. So thats the problem.

Ok i’ll end my remedial lessons next week, which means i’ll be able to start choosing for a job somewhere today or tomorrow.
So i went online to look for a temporary job this December.
Well, there are a few websites you can go, especially when you type “jobs” in Google, searching under Singapore context, you’ll find LOTSA websites.
Now let me recommend you this: Go www.recruitexpress.com because you’ll find lotsa updated job listings. Like.. They will put up a few posts everyday of new jobs, and you can sign up for the jobs by simply emailing the application form, and a resume.
Well, i started crafting out my resume today, and i’ve finished writing my first resume on Admin Assistant. So i matched it with an Admin job, and found one, which is posted today! Since it’s a fresh application, why don’t i try?
So i sent my resume and the application form at around 4.40pm and guess what? I received a call from RecruitExpress at 5.40pm. Wow this is really fast lar. It’s just 1 hour and they asked me to go for interview tomorrow in Orchard. Yeeppp!

Well, new principal means new way of functioning the school. We have this new system of “changing classes” after the year, so as to meet the needs of the students. (like lousy one in a lousy class full of noobs, and pro one in a pro class full of nerds, and so on..)
I hope i can remain in my class!
Economics Lecture - Special Guest
An advertising firm’s CEO will be speaking to us on the Economics lecture today, and i’m looking forward to it, since i missed out a special guest also a CEO of a firm on a previous Economics Alive programme. (since i skipped that programme and the reason i gave is, GASTRIC).

Zinc Outing @ Marina South
It’s my second time meeting those fellow Zinc Admin, and i finally get to know more admins! Oh, our new helper went there too.
I met crabwood aka AhCek in Serangoon MRT and we went all the way to Marina Bay to wait for the others. Oh, when i got to the meeting point, i saw 2 unknown faces. One was holding a novel or something like that, another one standing there staring as if someone gonna rape him soon.
So i asked them who they are. Oh the short one is called XiaoHao, and the other one was Takumi. Welcome Takumi as our new Zinc Helper! :)
We waited for such a long time, finally Jellyfish came. We missed a bus, and waited for like SO LONG for the second bus to come. Tiffany was so pek cek and fussy! She said, “aiya dun wait liao la. so slow one, we go somewhere else eat one?”
After a few minutes when everyone ignored her, she started again, “eh go somewhere else eat la, i’m serious”.
:D
LOL. But in the end, bus 400 came, get on the bus and we reached the destination. Along the way, Net aka Joseph made jokes and so on.. Yeah our entertainer that day.
Then oh i saw Velvet for the first time. He can beatbox, break dance, do some strange vocal stuff like echoing. Woah it was damn cool! I really got shocked when i heard him echo. It was loud and REAL!
After which we went home and when we’re at the MRT train, Tiffany took some pictures from my camera. She said she was a good photographer! Ahem! =x
Yea her hand was not moving when she took them. Not bad!

Then after the phototaking and all those nonsense, some of us transferred to the NE line. Then Tiffany wanted to take another photo, this time including herself in the photo :D
So we found an Auntie, and she took the photo for us.
Woah, she was damn experienced okay. She told us about lighting and all sort. Then we were so prepared and smiled at the camera, when she finally said, “eh you want the background soccer player head shown on the photo?”
