Flying HIGH and Proud II

Was studying at mac with Ding Jie the other day, and then the manager told us that we are not to study there because her poster was already out liao.

We looked around, and.. ya lah, kinda packed with peeps, so we went off, to another place.

BUT, there’s this indian guy sitting beside us when we were at mac, he was using his laptop alone, on a 4 seated table! I was like, “wtf? Why didn’t the manager tell him to get out?”

Oh, now i know why! Due to high demand of seats for dine-in customers, please refrain from studying in the restaurant AT ALL TIMES.

SingNet MIO

Was looking through all my photos in my camera and then i saw things i was supposed to blog about, but didn’t do so during the “Blog Crash” period.

So here it is.. Outdated post.

My internet connection was upgraded to umm.. 8mbps? But the internet speed was not up to standard. Tried speedtest several times, but the result i get was something like a 5mbps internet connection.

Called Singnet several times to check on it. First time i called, i didn’t know MIO and broadband were 2 different department? So i called the SingNet Broadband technical support, they said they will be putting me on their appointment list, and the technician will come down the next day.

The next day, a Singnet technician came down, and found that i was using MIO instead of Singnet Broadband, so yeah.. Bad luck.. He told me to wait for another technician as they assigned the wrong person. But.. maybe it’s because i called the wrong “department”? But hey.. When i emailed Singnet Support, they told me to call “that number”, which i followed!

Anyway, called back and they say they will be booking me an appointment for next week. The technician came down, and used his laptop to test my connection. It was perfectly well, there was nothing wrong. In fact, because of my good phone line status, the internet speed was MORE than expected! It was something like a 10mbps connection.

However, when he test the speed on my PC, it was found that the speed was something like.. 4 to 5 mbps.

Usually when this happens ah, it means your laptop got virus. You know ah when we download stuff right? Sometimes got virus, need to check. Cannot anyhow download. Err, your computer maybe load too many things also.. So the internet speed ah? Slow down lor..

Yep, thats what he told me. But..

1. Virus affects slows down my internet speed? Negative! Oh yes, unless it constantly download pornographic materials to my computer. Then maybe i can enjoy some free movies or something like that. But heck no. I have a running anti-virus software running with an updated DAT virus definition. So whats wrong with it?
2. Laptop? He kept saying my computer was a “laptop”. Despite hinting to him it was a computer, he kept saying “laptop”.
3. Load too much speed, does it affect the internet speed? It depends lor. Sometimes, the loading may be just some running system processes, nothing got to do with internet connection.

Anyway, he did prove to me that the internet speed was up to standard, but it wasnt for my system. So i can’t do anything to it. Then asked him some “technical features” on my MIO home portal page, and he was quite knowledgeable with the technical stuff. (of cos lah, he technician leh!)

Just finished watching the latest Big Brother’s recording on what’s happening in the house.

Peter Powers, who is an international hypnotist, went to their house and messed things up!

They are instructed to clench their hands as tightly as possible and imagine that it is getting tighter and tighter. Then, Peter Powers just give a tap on their backs and they fell.

Then, he asked all the house mates to sit on the sofa where he starts his tricks on them. He told them to close their eyes, and imagine that he was invisible. However, whatever he was holding will be visible to the rest, and they will think that they are now living in a haunted house.

It was so funny, their reactions were.. ghey!

So yeah, he was holding a flower pot and everybody started to “siam” because it floats by itself! (yes, by now if you don’t know, Peter Powers is the one holding the flower pot -_-)

Next trick, he asked Dave and Alice to go to another area, where one of them will win a red Ferrari. However it was not a Ferrari at all! It was just a black wrecked car.

They were so excited. Dave told Alice that she will not win that car, because he is already going to win it.

Look how happy they are! They didn’t even know it was a wrecked car! LOL!

Then, the announcement was made.. Dave won the “Ferrari”. Alice was so jealous, and he asked Dave if he got driving license.

Then, it was the classroom hypnotism!

This is one fun part. Peter Powers asked all house mates to sleep, and told them they are 8 years old school kids. They are to bully Dave and draw on his shirt. Dave cried, just like a school boy.

Ohh poor boy!

Next, it was the kitchen trick. Peter Powers asked them to sleep, and told Nobbi that a red apple (which was in fact an onion) was infront of him, and that it was yummy and tasty. When he asked the house mates to wake up, Nobbi picked up the “Red Apple” and starting eating it. He said it was tasty.

Aww.. He ate more than half the onion, and Peter Powers asked them to sleep again. This time, he told them to realize that what Nobbi was eating was an onion.

After Nobbi regain consciousness, he puke!

Next, it was the Labour fun!

The house mates were put to “sleep”. Peter asked them to imagine they are giving birth right now and they are to push as hard as possible.

Look at Nobbi! His expression was damn funny lah!

Lastly, it was the handshake. House mates were to shake Peter Powers’ hand, however, the female will not stop shaking his hand. On the other hand, the guys will be “shocked” when they touched Peter’s hand.

Look at Alice! She was enjoying her handshake with Peter! She couldn’t let him go! LOL!

Okay.. There were many other stuffs in the video, but i’m just too lazy to put them up here.. Anyway, the screened quality wasn’t that good, but the video quality was superb.

Thanks for the concern readers! Yes lots of emails regarding “broken links”. Wth.. It’s not a broken domain okay.. It’s just a blog downtime! Haha..

Anyway, what really happened was that the server that hosted my blog got crashed. I heard from Sean that it was due to some problems with Apache. Whatever, now my posts were gone. Thanks to Google, i got all my posts back, but i’m not going to post them all here, only the last few entries will be posted in here.

Was busy looking for new sponsor. Still looking for a nice theme. I’m not going for my old one, even though i still have the theme package, the editing of the source was a bit too tedious. I’m looking for a simple and plain theme, and i’ll customise it from there.
