FireFox 3 with Silverlight = Null
FireFox 3 Released
The new firefox 3, which claimed to work faster than the previous versions, was released on June 17, 2008.
However, it’s still not compatible with Silverlight, which is driving me CRAZY!
Downgrade back to FireFox 2?
No need. I found a way to install both FireFox 2 and 3 in one system. This is how you can do it:
1. Backup your profile for the default FF3
2. Get the installer for FF2 - Google is your best friend!
3. Create a new profile for FF2, don’t share profile with FF3 because it might crash!
4. Install FF2 on system, changing the directory
5. Right click properties for FF2’s shortcut, point the profile to the new profile you’ve created using flag “-p profile_name -no-remote”
6. Start FF2 in peace! Additionally, you may want to copy the old profile from FF3 to FF2 so all settings will be placed in FF2’s new profile too!
=D
Enjoy!
