Ketone Shell Project ‘08

Ketone is providing free shells to ALL internet users who need to stay “annonymous” while connecting to a network, login to MSN and stay 24 hours online, etc.

The shell comes with gcc and other compilers for programmer/coder needs.

Here’s the server information:

Debian 4.0
Dual-Core AMD Opteron
Located in Fremont, US
Hurricane Electric Fremont DC-2
Unmetered Bandwidth

IRC Access allowed:

psyBNC Admin
Eggdrop
sbnc
BitchX
irssi

SCREEN is installed on the server. Use it if you need to. Ketone provides webmin access for shell resellers as well. Shell users can request for install of other package, however it may not always be approved by the Administrators.

Things not allowed on Ketone’s Server:

Hacking, cracking, script kiddies
warez, undesirable files
stuffs that violates your country, and U.S policies
processes that consume large network resources
SERVERS that includes shoutcast, ircd, game servers, etc..

Huh? This was posted July 15th saying you give free shells to ALL internet users blah blah, but free shells havn’t been offered since at least June 21st according to your forum posts.

You really should put some fine print up about how services offered aren’t real, and how it’s just a cheesy ploy to draw visitors and hope they pay for a shell.

Sorry to disappoint. I no longer offer FREE shell accounts when you don’t contribute anything to the server. Right now, users are to donate a small sum of money in order to get it. Also to clarify, all donations will go towards building of the server, and nothing else.

I DO offer free shells to users back then, without any obligations or to draw in visitors or what-so-ever. However due to massive abuse by free riders, i no longer offer that. Hope you understand why a small contribution is necessary now (ALL explainations are clearly stated in the forum) :) You have the freedom not to read my post anyway..

P/S: Unless you are one that does not follow simple instruction or broke our ToS, you should be able to get one FREE shell account back then without a contribution ;) I still have a record of rejected applicants and users who abuse the shell account.

just a short review here.. i had been using ketone shell server for almost 3 months and the service from admin was superb!

do rem to tag my blog too :P
